Contract awarded for ATM system to new Islamabad Airport

Si ATM and the Spanish company GECI have, in joint venture, been awarded the contract to implement the ATM system for New Islamabad International Airport. The system shall support services for en-route, approach and aerodrome control. It shall provide highly advanced functionality; processing all kinds of surveillance data, advanced fully automatic FDP, AIDC, CPDLC and ADS-C.

The delivery also comprises an ATC simulator for training and testing. The system shall become operational in 2017.
